I have washed and worn only once so time will tell how it performs long term compared to a cotton dress shirt, but for now, signs are promising - obviously being a wool fabric, it doesn’t wrinkle easily or smell stale after even a couple of wears. The fabric is a bit itchy before first wash, but you really don’t notice it after a few minutes. Also, seems to have substantially reduced after a wash. Not a factor in my view.”

“This merino wool is great fabric. The easy care, wrinkle resistance, low shrinkage, etc. are all true. My one bit of advice is to order this shirt only with a button down collar. This was ordered with the president spread collar which looks fantastic out of the box. However, after the first wash, it grew it's own personality and did whatever it wanted to. One side stayed mostly straight but the other curled under pretty badly. No amount of effort can fully uncurl it. So I'll keep it only to wear under crew collar sweaters. But my next order will definitely be with button down.”
