Fabric Description

Forget everything you thought you knew about wool. Our merino wool shirts are lightweight, comfortable, and refined, and feature astonishing natural performance. They’re extremely wrinkle and odor resistant, resilient, and an amazing temperature regulator, which means that they’re also super easy to care for, can be worn multiple times between washes, are incredibly durable, and will help keep you cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Woven by the wool masters at Reda, this beautifully varied S120s 2-ply light blue, grey, and white can be worn casually or dressed up. Please note that, due to the nature of the fabric, pure white merino wool cannot be made. As a result, white areas on patterned shirts will actually be closer to a cream or natural color. Recommended Styling: Try it with our English Spread collar for a dressier looking shirt, or one of our soft collars, like our Soft Franklin Spread, for a casual vibe.

  • This merino wool fabric is probably my favorite. It's got a nice feel - very fine grained and smooth, just the slightest sheen. It holds its shape very well and stands up to ordinary washing just as the care instructions suggest. This is the third shirt I've ordered from this material. Definitely a fan.

  • Great feel. Pattern is nice, but nothing special.

October 2019  ·  Son in Houston, TX

  • Excellent fabric. Love the merino wool, but can be a little scratchy. Very wrinkle resistant and looks sharp. Pattern is nice, but the fabric was more yellow and more sheer than I expected.

  • Beautiful fabric. Can wear multiple times without any wrinkles.

October 2019  ·  David in Denver, CO

  • I love all PC's merino shirts. Their silky feel and wrinkle-resistance. The grey/blue check in this against the off-white background is great for layering.

October 2019  ·  Michael in Newtown, CT

  • Best fabric

October 2019  ·  Matthew in BROOKLYN, NY

  • Not quite as opaque--even fair skin tone shows through white check pattern. That said, the material wears lightly and the wrinkle resistance is excellent.

October 2019  ·  Robert in CAMBRIDGE, MA

  • I have mixed feelings on this particular Reda wool pattern. First, I love the texture and the performance of all the Reda wools I've tried. This one is soft, breathable, comfortable, etc. But the color is...meh. It has a dull, off-white hue to it that makes it look almost vintage. That might be what you're looking for, but I was hoping for something with a little more brightness to bring out the blue pattern.

  • I accidentally crush a tomato which spit its juice right on the front of my shirt but it just rolled right off / padded right into my napkin. Merino is amazing. Soft, too.

October 2019  ·  Steve in Newport Beach, CA

September 2019  ·  Tom in Arlington, VA

  • beautiful, silky fabric and gets less smelly than regular cotton. my third merino shirt from pc and I absolutely love them all

September 2019  ·  Matej in Boston, MA

  • The first time that the shirt was washed, there was a musty odor emanating from the washing machine. Turns out that Merino Wool smells musty when wet. As the washed shirt air dried, the smell gradually disappeared. While ironing, a faint musty smell reappeared. Not a big deal, but initially disconcerting. The fabric does not wrinkle as easy as a cotton shirt, but I found it more difficult to iron. You must hold it at different angles to ensure there are no remaining wrinkles. Several times, I thought the shirt was fine, but when looking at it while hanging, I could see wrinkles that weren't apparent when it was on the ironing board. In closing, the Merino Wool is very soft and less wrinkles appear when wearing it, but it takes more effort to iron out all of the wrinkles and it has a musty odor when wet.
