“First generation mask is a bit restrictive, and it was hard to dial in the tightness of the nose guard without ending up sucking in the fabric material every time I breathed in. The appearance also suffered after multiple wears and ended up looking very wrinkled. Overall I'm sure they improved on the later versions, but this wasn't my favorite mask of the pandemic.”

The seam on the strap pretty easily becomes exposed as users adjust the mask and the stitching quality plus the fact that the seamed portion doesn't naturally slide back into the covered portion seems to cause the strap to fray and damage in short order. “The materials used and the tailoring of these masks are impeccable. However, we found the Small to be really small and the Large not to be very large.
There were only two choices - Small and Large. I am a 5'2" petite size woman, and the Small Mask was on the small side for me. I cannot imagine it fitting a gentleman who was a regular small size. Since my husband is 6" tall, slim, and has a closely groomed beard, I ordered him a large. The fit is rather snug, and the mask would never fit a man or woman who was either taller or bigger. I may be wrong, but it is my understanding cloth masks used to minimize exposure to the novel coronavirus and avoid contracting COVID-19 must be washed in hot water and dried on high heat. Since the masks are made with 100% cotton, I am concerned they will become even more snug over time.
While the elastics on either side of a mask are sturdy and secure because they go around the back of the head - this also makes the masks very fussy and close to impossible to lift slightly to sip a beverage or take a nibble of something. This may be a deliberate design choice, but it would be very useful to be able to chose an adjustable elastic that would go around the ears of the wearer.
We would have found it quite helpful if and Insert with Instructions, on the proper care, washing (How is the liner to be cleaned?), removal and reinserting (rather tricky) of the liner, and proper wearing and removal to minimize exposure, were included.
Before we received our two packages of 3 masks each, I had ordered two more packages so that each of our sons and daughter-in-laws would each be able to have 2 Proper Cloth masks of their own. Now that both orders are here, I am not certain what to do with the Large size masks because both our sons are taller and larger than their dad. The ladies are both quite petite, so not as likely to be a concern.”

“Very high quality and well-made. Just the top class construction I'd expect! I love that the interior filter is removable, washable, and replaceable; something that will ensure long use. The fit is spot on (I ordered a small size: I wear a 6 7/8 fitted hat size if that helps).
My only gripe with the mask, which prevents a 5 star rating, is that the inner lay will sometimes cling a bit to the nose or mouth when inhaling. Definitely not blocking air flow or anything like that but it does sometimes feel a tad uncomfortable. I don't find this to be a deal breaker though.”
