“I am a fan of linen and though wool has to be the king of fabrics, linen is at least the crown-prince. So no surprise that I really like my shirt made from this blend of cotton and linen. Being also a fan of embroidery and hand-stitched details, I appreciate the design of the weave that makes the white ornament appear to be quite literally embroidered as if with a running stitch. This mix of simplicity and complexity is what makes fabrics interesting and worth of our utmost attention. And it goes without saying that wearing a shirt made from an interesting fabric is a great feeling by itself.
On the down side, the khaki hue of the main body of this fabric is, I find, a bit too deep and too homogenous, making the fabric look almost formal or work-like. Less dye penetration with some variation in shading would make for a better, more relaxed effect. But this is only a minor observation. Overall, there is not much else you could ask for with this fabric and once again, I would like to see more colours and variations of the same basic idea on offer.”
