Fabric Description

Another classic 100s two-ply broadcloth. This one in a deep claret red color. Proper Tip: "Claret" is a name primarily used in British English for red wine from the Bordeaux region of France. I'm pretty sure that knowing that will come in handy some day.

September 2015  ·  Daniel in BROOKLYN, NY

  • Doesn\'t seem as versatile as I expected, but that\'s probably my fault. Fabric feels fairly nice, and holds up well through the day without getting too wrinkled.

August 2015  ·  James in Chicago, IL

  • A great fabric that pairs perfect with a navy blue suit.

February 2015  ·  Michael in Seattle, WA

  • Pretty nice but seemed to wrinkle very quickly and then stay that way. The yoke along the back also seemed to stay wrinkled even after professional laundering.

October 2014  ·  David in San Mateo, CA

  • Decent value fabric for the price. I thought the stripes would be bigger and wider apart but it looks good as is.

August 2014  ·  Mark in New Center, MI

  • This is another one that looks great and holds up incredibly well. I\'ve had this for 1.5 years and believe it or not it still looks like new.

June 2014  ·  Matthew in BURBANK, CA

  • classic shirt! my new fave

May 2014  ·  Emmanuel in Pine Hills, FL

  • Nice tight stripe, so looks great with pin stripe or solid dark suit and print tie. Perfect for conventional office wear.

May 2014  ·  Joseph in New York, NY

  • Nice fabric, looks really sharp.

May 2014  ·  Steven in Phila, PA

  • Great shirt, and more of a muted/slightly darker red than some of the photos make it appear, which makes it far more versatile than a bright red. As close as you can get to a versatile red shirt - obviously, a solid red wouldn\'t work well with anything, but this works with everything.

April 2014  ·  Andrew in Conway, AR

  • Really, really nice. It\'s a great dark burgundy shade, and works very well with a blue blazer. Nice feel.

April 2014  ·  Clint in Hacienda Heights, CA

  • Nice fabric, makes for a good office dress shirt in something other than blue but not too loud. Goes well with a navy blue tie.

  • Great all around fabric.

November 2013  ·  Paul in Seaside, CA

  • a little sitff

October 2013  ·  Drew in Tulsa, OK

  • Great fabric; the burgundy stripe works well with a navy blazer and sits in a nice spot of formality below solids and above tattersalls or ginghams.

September 2013  ·  Brian in Chicago, IL

  • I didn\'t like this one too much because it seems like an oxford but more flimsy. The collar seems to bunch up a little bit. Update: 8/19 I\'m starting to like this fabric a lot more. Although it is softer and lighter than an oxford equivalent, its quite nice with the summer heat.

July 2013  ·  Anthony in Coral Gables, FL

  • Nice pattern.

July 2013  ·  David in pacific palisades, CA

  • Great fabric, feels great, look classic

July 2013  ·  Myron in Little Rock, AR

  • Nice pattern. Details noted when close up.

July 2013  ·  Joseph in Scottsdale, AZ

  • I thought there would be so many places where the close-set lines in this pattern could be stitched in such a way as to make the whole thing a confusing mess...wrong. The tailors are very conscious of the direction of the pattern and not just the size of the cut.

June 2013  ·  Graham in Cary, NC

  • great

May 2013  ·  R in New York, NY

  • Classic and classy. Recommended in blue as well.
