Fabric Description

A subtle fine grid is one of the most versatile shirts you can have in your closet. From a distance, this will read similar to a pale blue solid--but get up close, and you'll start to see the pattern that runs throughout. Grandi & Rubinelli are the masters as producing intelligent, easy-to-wear designs in the highest quality constructions. This particular broadcloth features a 170's 2-ply thread count--the highest thread count we've ever carried--which allows for a particularly sharp pattern and a silky smooth hand feel. These ultra high thread count styles can be more delicate than some of their other qualities, but the feel is unmatched. A perfect choice for a Roma Cutaway or President Spread collar and 2-button cuff. Don't forget the mother of pearl buttons, either. Learn more about Grandi & Rubinelli fabric here.

  • High price tag but worth the cost. Nice sheen, gorgeous shirt. Versatile for a night out or a day in the office. Lightweight so definitely recommend for summer wear.

  • Perfect for work and a casual night out

June 2016  ·  Charles in Naples, FL

  • Very smooth and nice to the touch. Very thin, but surprisingly opaque enough. A bit hard to iron though, which is expected of fabric of such high thread count.

July 2015  ·  Tyler in Fayetteville, AR

  • Beautiful cloth. Texture is amazing would by this shirt in every design if I could.

July 2015  ·  Jeff in Lyndhurst, NJ

  • Good!

July 2015  ·  pete in ATLANTA, GA

  • Two things you need to know: Silky and Sheer. I went with the new firm collar which ended up being a great idea. It's definitely a dressy fabric and the firm collar keeps the shirt looking well pressed while the portion under your jacket is like wearing nothing. Great summer shirt. A++

June 2015  ·  Mitchell in New York, NY

  • A keeper

June 2015  ·  Edward in Wethersfield, CT

  • Very fine fabric. Sheer (transparent) and delicate. Not as much sheen as I expected, but still expensive looking. Excellent pattern and fabric for an sticky August day when suit coat is required. Would be great is they introduced this exact pattern in something of the thickness of the TM broadcloth.

April 2015  ·  Chad in New York, NY

  • Very soft and light.

April 2015  ·  Alfred in Gainesville, FL

  • Absolutely gorgeaus fabric. Just awesome.

March 2015  ·  Sean in Armonk, NY

  • The smooth, silky feel is unbelievable. It\'s light--very light, which means it\'s a bit more delicate, but it\'s a perfect luxury dress shirt fabric for summer.
