Fabric Description

A tattersall is one of those timeless, subtle business checks that rarely feels out of place. We chose more unique, pastel colors for a more unusual and fun design. The turquoise and orange tones are easy going, yet still easy to dress up thanks to the dressier pattern. From a distance this shirt looks almost like a white, but as you get closer the pattern becomes more apparent and interesting. We selected just the right shades of orange and turquoise to give it a slightly more optimistic look than many of the older, more stodgy tattersalls we often see. It's woven using one of our favorite broadcloth qualities--a mid-weight, silky 100's 2-ply from Grandi & Rubinelli that strikes an ideal balance between hand feel and performance. Try it with a President Spread collar for a versatile office shirt, go for a two-button cuff if you'd like it to wear a bit dressier or a one-button for a more traditional look. • I took a risk on the colors, but I must add that the risk is of no fault to the company. Nevertheless, the colors are a bit too light, and you can't really notice the aqua. I have plenty of shirts from PC, and I will continue to buy from here - regardless of this error on my part.

  • The very fine, sharp aqua and apricot lines give this shirt a soft, pearly look. Really nice change from a plain white.

  • The Modena Aqua & Apricot Tattersall is a very good lightweight fabric. The aqua and apricot patter is subtle, so gives a versatile look that works for both business dress and informally without a tie. It was a particularly good value at $95.

  • Decent but probably wouldn't buy again.

July 2016  ·  Kirsten in Waxhaw, NC

  • The pattern is very subtle. From a distance, it looks like an old dingy white shirt. It also wrinkles excessively.

July 2016  ·  Chen in New York, NY

  • the pattern is a bit too understated / muted for me. Not the fault of PC, i think my own fault for not realizing how white it would seem from the represented images.

July 2016  ·  Chris in Port Charlotte, FL

  • Comfort was better than I expected, though the color wasn't quite what it looked like on the website.

  • This is a really nice subtle summer pattern.

June 2016  ·  Chad in West Bethesda, MD

  • A nice and subtle summer dress shirt. Pattern isn't obvious from distance but adds some nice contract close up. I generally dislike broadcloths since they wrinkle so easily. This fabric is a little better than most in not wrinkling, the hand feel is also good for a broadcloth being soft and fairly silky. Only complaint? Super transparent.
