Fabric Description

A slightly darker shade of French blue made with a 100s 2-ply end-on-end construction. The different color threads woven to make the fabric give it the beautiful texture that makes end-on-ends so appealing. It's a crisp dress shirt fabric with a light weight for the warmer months.

  • Nice cheery bright color. I wish this color would come back!

  • Fabric was bit stiff

May 2019  ·  Giorgio in Los Angeles, CA

  • This fabric has held its color over time, which is rare for this dark of a blue. I love it.

March 2017  ·  Tyler in Belcamp, MD

  • This shirt is less wrinkle resistant than my other choices

December 2016  ·  David in Alexandria, VA

  • Awesome!

November 2016  ·  Bob in Miami, FL

  • Great but careful with iron

September 2016  ·  Clay in College Station, TX

  • Color and pattern is nice. However, once you wear this shirt more than 10 minutes it looks like you have slept in it with deep wrinkles. I don't recommend this shirt at all.

  • Amazing fabric. Drapes beautifully. Gonna need to get more of these

March 2016  ·  Laurence in New York, NY

  • I liked it very much. It has a lot of \"depth\" and \"texture.\"

March 2016  ·  William in WEST COLUMBIA, SC

  • very nice, the light blue end on end is my go-to dress shirt, this is also great but a touch more saturated than I\'d hoped, a little less flexible than the light blue. A great fabric all around.

February 2016  ·  Scott in Durham, NC

  • great fabric

February 2016  ·  James in Louisville, KY

  • Great rich color that looks good with lighter blue accents on the inside of the cuffs and collar. Medium weight goes well with anything. One of my favorite shirts!

January 2016  ·  Joseph in HOUSTON, TX

  • Good value. I wish it was a stretch fabric.

January 2016  ·  Daniel in Phoenix, AZ

  • Excellent, smooth finish with a very unique, deep blue color.

    December 2015  ·  Paul-Andrew in Brooklyn, NY

  • I like this shirt and fabric so much I am contemplating ordering it again in different styles and just saying this is my go to color.

December 2015  ·  D in New York, NY

  • Though this shirt arrived just a small amount lighter than what I saw online, it wasn\'t enough to even get me close to being disappointed. It looks great with or without a tie. Something about the way Proper Cloth does the collars really stands out - I can\'t put my finger on it, but I like it...

November 2015  ·  Donald in Santa Rosa Beach, FL

  • Really nice deep blue. Love the end-on-ends

October 2015  ·  Issey in Chatham, NY

  • Excellent value and a vibrant, fresh looking blue!

October 2015  ·  John in Houston, TX

  • It is beautiful color and texture, but wrinkles easily, and is a little stiff. That is why I think it was over priced.

October 2015  ·  Farzin in Sechelt, BC

  • Gets the job done, for a dark blue shirt that goes so well with grey or pinstriped suits. Nothing unique here - but you have to have these shirts - so this is a good one. Not sure how well the dye will stand up to my laundry, which is my usual problem with these richer hued blues.

October 2015  ·  Joseph in New York, NY

  • classic end on end in a french blue. The only french blue I could find at proper cloth, surprisingly.

October 2015  ·  Brent in Leesburg, VA

  • Very nice quality end-on-end. Many compliments here.

September 2015  ·  Mark in Los Angeles, CA

  • The weave is beautiful slightly lighter than a twill. Beautiful drape

August 2015  ·  Jack in LONG BEACH, CA

  • very deep blue. I like it, but it\'s difficult to pair with other colors in my wardrobe.

August 2015  ·  Thomas in Brooklyn, NY

  • Very nice blue color - not too heavy. Great with sharp white buttons. Im buying another

July 2015  ·  Trace in Atlanta, GA

  • Rich color.

June 2015  ·  John in Lake Forest, CA

  • OK Fabric,, looks good with a grey suit.

June 2015  ·  David in Tullamarine, Vic

  • Darker than expected; the picture made me expect a more cobalt, bright blue. As a result you can\'t really wear it with navy suits. It\'s also got a somewhat flimsy feel. The fabric is quite light, which is nice for a summer shirt, especially with a lighter colored suit, but it feels almost crinkly, like a no-iron shirt, and doesn\'t drape particularly well

June 2015  ·  Aditya in Somerville, MA

  • A bit disappointed with this one. Noticably less vibrant than the photos - the color tone is almost washed out looking vs the description and photo. The hand and quality is fine, if you are seeking a darker tone there are better options out there vs this one :(

June 2015  ·  Shawn in Edmond, OK

  • Great fabric that is very comfortable and looks great!

May 2015  ·  Timothy in Ossining, NY

  • Good quality every-day cloth, color was probably not as vibrant in real life as it appears on-screen.

May 2015  ·  Greg in North Perth, Western Australia

  • Gorgeous hue - just the right side of the \"dotcom blue\" of the late 90s so it doesn\'t feel too retro.

May 2015  ·  Paul in New York, NY

  • Nice textured blue. Good backdrop for some of my striped ties.

April 2015  ·  Michael in Houston, TX

  • I don\'t think the web did this color justice. I ordered on a hunch hoping it would be a really nice french blue and as it turns out it was. This is terrific color that could work in a formal work setting or casually.

April 2015  ·  Jeremy in Buffalo, NY

April 2015  ·  Bruce in Plano, TX

  • It\'s an incredibly rich dark blue. Although the picture doesn\'t do it justice, its much darker than most end-on-ends.

February 2015  ·  Faisal in Salt Lake City, UT

  • Nice muted blue. Pairs well with a variety of colors.

February 2015  ·  Jonathan in Berkeley, CA

  • I liked it very much, would like this color in a heavier fabric

February 2015  ·  Mike in FORT WORTH, TX

  • Very nice fabric overall. In person, it is darker than the picture would indicate - more of a slate blue / gray blue color (rather than a french blue).

January 2015  ·  Kevin in Watchung, NJ

  • Happy with this fabric, interesting up close and a nice blue color from further away. Difficult to get completely crisp and wrinkle free when ironing, so if you\'re very particular about that this fabric may not be for you. That being said, I consider myself fairly particular about starting the day with a crisp shirt and I am able to obtain a result that I consider satisfactory!

January 2015  ·  Chris in Shorewood, MN

  • Somewhat shiny but beautiful. Be careful and professionally hand-wash only! Don\'t use a hot iron or it may get REALLY shiny.

January 2015  ·  Rik in BROOKLYN, NY

  • It looks a bit darker in person than it does on my computer, but it is still a very good looking fabric.

January 2015  ·  Ruben in Fort Lauderdale, FL

  • Overall, the shirt is great, but it wasn\'t really the color blue that I wanted. Should have had a fabric sample sent to the house. My mistake.

January 2015  ·  Michael in New Providence, NJ

  • Beautiful fabric.

January 2015  ·  Timothy in NASHVILLE, TN

  • This fabric feels and looks nice. The shade of blue is darker but light enough to provide enough contrast when pairing with a navy suit/blazer.

January 2015  ·  Matthew in Blackshear, GA

  • Do you need to own the boardroom? Get this shirt.

December 2014  ·  Evan in Brooklyn, NY

  • Color is a difficult thing to judge via a monitor over the internet.

December 2014  ·  matthew in Sutter Creek, CA

  • Love the fabric and the deep French blue color

December 2014  ·  Steve in Rancho Mirage, CA

  • Classy.

October 2014  ·  Mike in Dedham, MA

  • This is a perfect shade of blue that can be worn with anything. My shirt was ordered in \"casual\" sizing but would make a killer dressier shirt.
