We love plaid linen shirts for summer, so we teamed up with our favorite Portuguese mill to create the perfect combination of quality, pattern, and color. Linen has an airy, open weave that breathes incredibly well, and its naturally cool feel and ability to keep you dry make it a summer essential if there ever was one. This 24s single-ply fabric is incredibly lightweight and soft, yet it still maintains that signature linen texture. Keep in mind that linen’s wrinkle-prone nature is part of its charm; don't worry about pressing it—just let it look well-worn and relaxed. The tonal brown and beige palette of this mid-scale plaid works with just about everything from jeans or shorts to chinos and a jacket.

Recommended Styling: Go for soft details across the whole shirt. Our Soft President Spread collar, soft placket, and Soft Long One Button cuff make a great combo.

Casual Wash: Shirts cut from this fabric are washed after being sewn. This process gives the shirt a softer, broken-in feel with puckering around the seams.

“Portuguese Washed Brown and Beige Shadow Plaid Linen is a good breatheable fabric for a casual shirt for the summer. Wore it during very humid weather during a trip back East, and it was very comfortable. Most of the time I just wear it right out of the dryer since it's a casual shirt and I don't care if it has a few wrinkles. I have ironed it on occasion when I want a slightly crisper look to start, but expect to accumulate a few wrinkles as you go—it is linen, after all.”
