Portuguese Sky Awning Stripe Cotton Hemp Oxford Fabric

A classic stripe for spring and summer.

In our minds, there's no situation in which you can't wear an oxford cloth button down (OCBD). There are times, however, when a pure cotton oxford wears a bit too warm. This 57% cotton/43% hemp blend, developed with our favorite Portuguese mill, has excellent breathability while retaining the substantial feel of a classic oxford weave. The fabric has a bit of natural slub from the hemp which gives it beautiful texture and character, and it’s more durable, opaque, slightly heavier than most cotton/linen blends, too. Expect it to age phenomenally and become your go-to warm weather shirt. This classic, bold light blue and white awning stripe is one of those patterns that works with pretty much everything in your closet. Try it with a navy linen suit (no tie) or white denim. Don’t be afraid to experiment.

Recommended Styling: Go with our Soft Ivy Button Down collar, Rounded pocket, and Wide Soft placket for a classic oxford look. Go with our Soft English Spread collar and no placket for a more modern vibe.

“Excellent, subtle awning stripe. Color is less vibrant in person than on my screen but that is fine. Crisp and reasonably wrinkle resistant. Make sure you wash this fabric at high temperature and dry at medium temperature to ensure the shrinkage occurs properly.”
