Portuguese Fatigue Green Seersucker Fabric

$135

Description

Fabric Description

A fine seersucker fabric to get you through the dog days of summer.

Widely worn in the hot, muggy South, seersucker’s special uneven puckering qualities give it less surface area contact against the skin, increasing airflow under the shirt and allowing heat to dissipate more quickly. This classic seersucker is woven in Portugal in a beautiful fatigue green that's both eye-catching and subdued. Wear it in place of a solid dress shirt to add some texture and seasonality to your look.

Recommended Styling: We love a Soft President Spread or Soft Ivy Button Down collar on this. Give it short sleeves and make it your new beach shirt. Due to the special nature of seersucker fabrics, they can only be made using soft, unfused collars and cuffs.

  • The fabric on this shirt looks great and is very breathable. It is still quite stiff after two washes and wears, but I think it will become a little softer and more supple over time. At the moment, it sits a little weirdly in places where it doesn't bend/fold in ways that follow the contours of my shoulders and elbows. I'm sure that will improve with wear.

  • Overall I'm very happy with this shirt. The fabric is in line with my expectations and an excellent option for warm summer days. The fabric color is a true to the description and really is an army green color. Just wish they had more colors as army green doesn't scream summer shirting to me.

  • Nice shirt, will require ironing with each use.

  • Looks even better than the photos. Can be work without ironing, but the pocket and buttons might need a once over. Very opaque for such a light fabric.

  • This seersucker has a good weight to it. Some seersucker fabrics on other shirts I have are too light and flimsy. This shirt feels good.
