An ultra soft and heavy flannel inspired by Mexican serape blankets.

This hardy 24s 2-ply twill from our favorite Portuguese mill is an ideal overshirt fabric. With a super soft brushed finish and a dense weave, this robust fabric is the blanket version of a shirt—great for layering over sweaters and t-shirts, and for staying warm all winter. The stripes of orange, red, and gold that play across the faded navy ground create a colorful and bold pattern that will add fun and personality to your weekend-casual outfits.

“This is wonderful fabric. The color really pops, you just have to be ready to wear it and accept people telling you they like your shirt all day. The fabric might be heavier than you expect, this feels like the weight of a vintage LL Bean flannel versus most of the lighter weight flannels of today.”

“Soft cozy but not too heavy of a fabric that is great for fall and will be good to layer on winter days too. Haven't washed it yet so hoping it doesn't pill like some softer fabrics tend to do. I adapted my short sleeve fit preset to this first long sleeve I've ordered with Proper Cloth, and although the sleeves are too short (that's on me, I never gave measurements for a long sleeve shirt), after an adjustment I'm sure this will quickly become my go-to for these seasons.”
