A hardy jacquard with a beautiful pattern inspired by Native American textiles.

This sturdy yet soft 20s single-ply jacquard is woven in Japan from 100% cotton. It reminds us of comfortable, well-worn denim, but with a refined, uniform texture and dotted weave. It’s not easy to achieve the level of detail in the patterns that play across this fabric—it requires a great deal of knowledge and expertise, and the Japanese mill we worked with executes it flawlessly. Angular shapes and zig-zags of chocolate brown mingle with wide stripes of gold, rust, white, and sky blue, inspired by Native American textiles and the colors of earth and sky. It’s a fabric best suited to spring, fall, and winter in both weight and design, and it wears well it on its own or as a unique overshirt.

“This is my favorite shirt! I love the pattern and how there are portions where the tailor(s) lined up the pattern along seams. I wish two things: 1. That I adjusted the fit slightly, especially in the sleeve length and perhaps a bit in the wrist circumference, to make up for the material's thickness. 2. That I could have resubmitted it before PC ran out of the material to make those changes. Regardless, the material is superb. The shape it keeps on the hanger is quite nice. I want more similar patterns and fabrics!”
