Glacier and Light Grey Plaid Cotton and Wool Flannel Fabric

A hardy yet refined cotton and wool blend flannel that pays homage to an English heritage fabric developed in the late 19th century. Inspired by a cotton and wool fabric that boasted warmth, softness, and versatility the likes of which were enjoyed by everyone from babies to British soldiers, this cozy brushed twill is woven by our favorite Portuguese mill from a blend of 80% cotton and 20% merino wool. It’s durable, heavy without weighing you down, and features merino wool’s characteristically excellent temperature regulation, and since the original popular fabric was discontinued in the late ’90s we thought it was about time for a revival of sorts. This pale glacier blue and light grey plaid has a timeless simplicity, and the lightness of the colors is a refreshing departure from your typically darker seasonal flannel colorways.

“I really like this cotton-wool blend. It's very soft, and the wool adds a noticeable coziness and warmth, making this a good choice for cool days. At first I was a bit concerned about whether it might shrink due to the presence of the wool, but I've been machine-washing it in cold water and air drying, and so far it's fine. Great colors and pattern, pairs well with grey pants or jeans.”
