This fabric makes a hell of a statement shirt. Made from 100% cotton and woven in a 20s two-ply construction, it’s a soft casual fabric with a versatile, layerable weight. Ikat—a word derived from the Indonesian for “tie”—is a dye-resist technique that involves the strategic tying groups of yarns to create intricate patterns. Yarns are tied together, dyed, and released, revealing incredible designs once they’re all woven together. This particular ikat features large blue and black and is highlighted by reds and golds. A second, smaller pattern of black and white shapes alternates. Make it a short sleeve shirt and turn some heads.
Recommended Styling: For a casual shirt with an artistic edge, go with our Band collar, Soft Front placket, and Slate Horn buttons. A Soft English Spread collar will tone the statement down a bit.
