A rustic yet refined cotton fabric from Italy.

This 30s single-ply plain weave made by legendary mill Albini makes a lovely departure from the classic stripes we expect to see in summer. A breathable medium weight 100% cotton fabric, it has a slightly open weave that allows for more airflow during those warm months of the year and is also great for the fall and spring seasons. The beige and taupe are striated along the weft with paler hues that give the fabric a slightly worn look, while the alternating wide and thin stripes highlight thick slubs that stand out against the finer yarns. Go short sleeve or long—this fabric works well with both casual and tucked-into-trousers looks.

Recommended Styling: We love this one as a short sleeve Camp shirt with Roma buttons, but for a more refined approach try a long sleeve shirt with our Soft Roma Spread collar, no placket, and Mother of Pearl buttons.

“I bought this shirt because I've had good luck with Albini fabrics in the past, and this shirt doesn't disappoint. I like the wide striped pattern. Also, the shirt takes starch well (I use medium).
