Albiate Light Blue Recycled Cotton Twill Fabric

$150

Description

Fabric Description

A luxurious Italian twill that does the environment some good.

This 30s single-ply twill is woven from a combination of 60% recycled cotton and 40% virgin cotton. The recycled cotton comes from a variety of leftover fabrics collected from Albiate’s production line, with the virgin cotton included in the blend to provide extra strength. The result is a wonderfully textured, slubby twill with a comfortable three-season medium weight. It’s a beautiful, sustainable alternative to other casual fabrics like chambrays and plain weaves. This muted light blue is sprinkled with neutral brown and grey flecks which add even more depth and interest to the variations in the color. Wear it with chinos and sneakers, or tuck it into wool trousers for a laidback tailored look.

Recommended Styling: We like this fabric with soft details. Pay homage to its Italian origins with a Soft Roma Cutaway collar and no placket, or go with a workwear vibe with a Soft Point collar, Soft Front placket, and Rounded Flap pockets.

  • Feels great to the touch. This fabric gives jeans a lift but can be worn in the evening

  • Lovely texture to the cloth, which makes it very interesting. But it's only noticable from a distance, which then looks like an everyday blue shirt from afar. Would definitely recommend this shirt!

  • Huge fan of this fabric, beautiful colour and it has a great slubby texture. I have been wearing it with a suit/blazer for a laid back smart look, but would work equally well in a casual outfit.

  • Love the shirt but because it's recycled there happened to be a large white thread in a noticeable area - people have suggested I have a stain on my shirt. Still a cool fabric.
