Mask Filters and Filter Replacements

There are different versions of our Everyday Mask, some of which have different types of filters or filter integration. This page explains which versions have which filters and whether they are sewn into the mask or removable. The Everyday Mask – Description and Specifications.

Everyday Mask 3.0 (Sewn-In Filter): These masks feature sewn-in filters with lab-test certified BFE ≥99% and PFE ≥95% ratings. These filters were shown to maintain their efficiency for at least 20 washes, however we did not test beyond 20 washes. Everyday Mask 3.0 test results.

Everyday Mask 2.0 (Sewn-In Filter): These masks feature sewn-in filters with lab-test certified BFE ≥95% and PFE ≥85% ratings. These filters were shown to maintain their efficiency for at least 20 washes, however we did not test beyond 20 washes.

Everyday Mask 95 (Sewn-In Filter): These masks feature sewn-in filters with lab-test certified BFE ≥99% and PFE ≥95% ratings for an even higher level of protection. These filters were shown to maintain their efficiency up to 20 washes, and to have PFE ≥85% thereafter. Everyday Mask 95 test results.

Everyday Mask Versions v1.0-v1.4 (Removable Filter): The earliest versions of our Everyday Mask feature removable filters with lab-test certified BFE ≥95% and PFE ≥85% ratings. These filters were shown to maintain their efficiency for at least 20 washes, however we did not test beyond 20 washes.

Everyday Mask Performance v1.5 (Sewn-In Filter): These masks feature sewn-in filters with lab-test certified BFE ≥95% and PFE ≥85% ratings. These filters were shown to maintain their efficiency for at least 20 washes, however we did not test beyond 20 washes.

Washing Mask Filters

All of our masks and filters are washable. Detailed instructions for washing your Proper Cloth masks and filters. Note, that for masks with sewn-in filters, simply omit the filter removal step.
