Very solid experience. Definitely my go to for ordering pants now. My only issue is that it is hard to navigate the website and it is not easy to understand what the fabrics are actually like.

I am becoming a regular Proper Cloth customer, and its because of the experience and the quality. The quality of this suit is spectacular. To be able to have a custom made suit that shows all the special detail and a a perfect fit is remarkable.

The collar on one of my earlier shirts from Proper Cloth was damaged by the dry cleaner. The shirt was nearly 10 years old, and everything else was in excellent condition. I brought it in to the Proper Cloth shop, and they were able to remake the shirt for me. The experience was excellent.

The people at the store were very nice and professional. The initial fit of my suit was not very good, but Huy scheduled a virtual fitting for me and redid the measurements. I was very happy with the final fitting of the suit. Looking forward to wearing it at my wedding!

Great initial consultation and the Chicago showroom itself is beautiful — the in-person experience set high expectations. However, communication during the alteration process was frustrating. Several emails about fit and next steps went unanswered, and I had to reach out to corporate just to get things fixed. My advisor in Chicago still has not responded to my email (it's been 2 weeks). I also didn’t realize adjustments would be handled by remaking an entirely new pair overseas rather than refining the existing garment. That led to long turnaround times and didn’t feel like the most precise way to dial in a custom fit. In the end, I’m more comfortable taking the pants to a local tailor for final adjustments. Overall: excellent concept and store experience, but the post-purchase process and communication need improvement. I'll probably go back to other custom shops in Chicago.

My experience was truly great! I've ordered from Proper Cloth many times, and I have my son to thank for introducing me to them. Since I have very long arms, finding shirts that fit well has always been a challenge — they’re often too tight in the neck or too short in the arms. But with Proper Cloth, the shirts fit me perfectly every time, which makes shopping so much easier and more enjoyable.

The overall experience so far with Proper Cloth has been top notch. I was fitted in the DC store and the first garments shipped (2 shirts and a blazer) were all spot on. I have since ordered 4 more shirts, 2 pants, and a suit. I am looking forward to adding several more pieces from Proper Cloth throughout the various seasons.

The size chart was not properly described. Bought an item that was way too big for me. Shipping and delivery took too long so I did not exchange it. Not good customer experience .
