If the adjustments to your pants size are minor, it may make more sense to have them altered locally by a tailor, which we\u2019re happy to reimburse for&nbsp;store credit. It\u2019s up to you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-dimensions-can-be-altered-by-a-tailor\">What Dimensions Can Be Altered by a Tailor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following alterations can be made by a local tailor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Casual Pants:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slimming the waist up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slimming the hips\/seat up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shortening the inseam up to 4\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slimming the pant leg up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing the leg opening width up to 1.5\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Dress Pants (Tailored Clothing)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Widening the waist up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slimming the waist up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slimming the hips\/seat up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shortening the inseam up to 4\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lengthening the inseam up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slimming the pant leg up to 1\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing the leg opening width up to 1.5\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-finding-a-tailor-and-completing-alterations\">Finding a Tailor and Completing Alterations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Having your pants altered locally is up to you. We don\u2019t have specific tailors to recommend. If you don\u2019t have a tailor that you trust, try searching online for one in your area with a good reputation. When you meet with them, you can usually tell them exactly what you want to change, or you can put the pants on with them and together determine what alterations make sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-important-note-the-size-changes\">Important: Note the Size Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly encourage you to take note of what changes your tailor makes to the pants so that you can update your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/sizes\/pants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saved pant size<\/a>\u00a0for future orders.\u00a0Our support team is always happy to help update your profile for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-potentially-faster-alternative\">A Potentially Faster Alternative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cases, having your pants altered locally can be faster than requesting a full remake. Check here for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/shipping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">current delivery times<\/a>&nbsp;for Casual Pant or Tailored Clothing remakes&nbsp;(remakes&nbsp;have the same delivery times as new orders).
