For many people, the absolute perfect fit will require a remake (or two). Some aspects of a shirt fit are hard to predict in advance and it&#8217;s only after a first shirt has been made and worn that the finer aspects of the fit can be tuned. To support that, we provide each customer up to two complimentary shirt remakes. &nbsp;Click here to learn more about our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/perfect-fit-guarantee\" target=\"_blank\">Perfect Fit Guarantee<\/a>. The following are our best practices to make the most out of your remakes and ultimately find your perfect fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-step-1-wash-the-shirt-once-recommended\">Step 1: Wash the Shirt Once (Recommended)<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly encourage you to <a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/reference\/how-to-wash-a-dress-shirt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wash your shirt<\/a> once (or even twice) before deciding how it fits. By no means will this invalidate our return policy or prevent us from doing a remake in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How you launder the shirt will have a big impact on the size, so it\u2019s important to launder the shirt the way you plan to do so in the future. For example:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you take your shirts to the professional cleaners where they do a &nbsp;\u201cWash and Press,\u201d this will cause some fabrics to stretch out, making the body looser and the sleeves longer. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you wash your shirts at home and let them air-dry, the fabric will shrink and things can feel tighter. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you wash your shirts at home and dry them in the dryer they can be expected to shrink up even more and feel even tighter. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-step-2-give-your-shirt-a-wear\">Step 2: Give Your Shirt a Wear<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>To best evaluate the fit, wear the shirt in the way you plan to wear it in the real world. &nbsp;For example: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With a tie or without a tie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open collar or buttoned all the way up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tucked in or untucked<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With slim fitting dress pants or with looser fitting casual pants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>How you wear the shirt, and what you wear it with, will make a big difference in how the shirt looks and how you feel in the shirt, so try to make your test wear as real as possible.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For purposes of evaluating the fit, you\u2019re free to wear the shirt for a full day or two. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-step-3-determine-what-needs-to-change\">Step 3: Determine What Needs to Change<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-option-1-conduct-your-own-fit-assessment\">Option 1: Conduct Your Own Fit Assessment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your shirt is close to perfect and you\u2019re confident you know what needs to change, you can conduct your own fit assessment and request a remake yourself, without any assistance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if one part of the fit is obviously wrong, take the time to evaluate all aspects of how the shirt fits. <a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/reference\/category\/perfect-fit\">Checklist for evaluating the proper fit of a dress shirt<\/a>. We don\u2019t want you to go through the trouble of waiting for your remake only to discover another fit issue later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Request your remake online by going to your <a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/account\/orders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Order History<\/a> and clicking the button \u201cRequest a Remake\u201d in the Shirts section of the page. &nbsp;You\u2019ll be prompted to enter in the new dimensions you\u2019d like the shirt to be made with, have an opportunity to make changes to the style or fabric of the shirt, and have a chance to confirm your address.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2><strong>Option 2: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/account\/fit-advice\"><strong>Submit a Fit Advice<\/strong> <strong>Request<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not loving how the garment fits but aren&#8217;t sure of what needs to change, we are more than happy to assist!<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/propercloth.com\/account\/fit-advice\">Head to the Fit Advice Request section of your account<\/a> to upload fit photos, along with comments about what you like and dislike about the fit.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>After we review your photos and notes, we\u2019ll respond to the Fit Advice Request with our size change recommendations saved to a new profile for your convenience.
