Spread Collar vs Point Collar<\/h2>\n

The spread collar and point collar are two of the most popular collar styles–the former being a little more modern, while the latter leans more classic. While the collar points on these two are exactly the same in length, the points end up 5” away from one another on the spread whereas they finish much closer, 3″ apart, on the point.<\/p>\n

The effect is that the spread collar can visually widen the wearer’s face, while the point collar has been said to make one’s face appear longer (often quoted by Alan Flusser). The spread collar also allows more room for a wider tie knot than the point collar, due to the extra space between the collar points.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
