We’ve always loved the hardy fisherman sweaters that come from Ireland's Aran Islands, and this is our modern take on the crewneck version. The Aran cable knit pattern is distinct yet easy to wear, and its traditional look evokes memories of simpler times. Made entirely in Italy, these sweaters are expertly crafted at a 60-year-old factory in Tuscany using an incredibly soft wool and cashmere yarn from Biagioli Modesto. This speckled grey color is a versatile one that plays well with both jeans and wool trousers.

Biagioli Modesto Wool & Cashmere
We use only the finest quality yarns from the renowned Italian wool spinners Biagioli Modesto. The 70% lambswool and 30% cashmere blend is sturdy yet impressively soft, and the speckled donegal yarn produces a beautiful heathered effect. The sweater wears comfortably warm and will only get softer over time.
Intricate cable knit patterns embellish the entirety of this sweater for a traditional yet playful appeal. A classic crewneck—originally developed as a military basic, now a ubiquitous staple—will always have a place in your closet.
A Slim, Flattering Fit
With a slim (but not skinny) fit, our sweaters hug the body in a flattering way that‘s perfect for wearing on their own or layered under a jacket. We suggest sizing up if you‘re between sizes.
How long does it take to receive a 'Stocked Product' order?
Stocked Products (ie. items in-stock at our offices) such as outerwear, scarves, ties, and sweaters generally take about one week to deliver.
Physical gift certificates take about one week to deliver, too.
Can sweaters be customized?
No, our sweaters are available in standard sizes only at this time.
Based on my custom shirt size, what size sweater should I choose?
We recommend choosing the off-the-rack size you’d select from a traditional retailer.
Custom shirt sizes and sweater sizes are different as the garments are meant to drape and fit the body differently.
