Fabric Description
A unique chambray made for fall.
This robust 100% cotton chambray from Portugal is brushed for a soft finish that adds another dimension of style and functionality. Brushing gives the hefty 20s single-ply weave extra warmth and creates an effect similar to flannel. This is the perfect fabric for an elevated workwear look—it’ll make a t-shirt and jeans seem more thoughtful, and will provide a nice contrast to dressier trousers. Plus, slate blue is one of those colors that works seamlessly with both your grey and blue palettes.
Recommended Styling: Soft details are the way to go. For a more traditional workwear style try our Soft Point collar, Soft Front placket, Soft Square Two Button cuffs, and Snap buttons. For something more contemporary, our Soft English Spread collar, no placket, and Soft One Button cuffs will do the trick.

“My favourite colour of this fabric. It is striking and catches light and shadow beautifully. Different enough from the blue although they look similar in the images. The fabric is very comfortable. It changes its shape after the first wash so make sure to assess it after having washed it, but if it fits well after a wa…sh it will fit you well long term. The fabric is on the heavier side of medium weight so gets quite hot in summer, but perfect for the transitional months. A great replacement for an Oxford shirt.”
