A soft flannel in a classic tartan.

This heavyweight flannel is woven in Japan and constructed from a pronounced 30s single-ply twill weave. It’s dense and soft, with a lightly brushed exterior that will keep you super warm without letting you overheat. The Stewart tartan is associated with the Clan Stewart, rulers of Scotland from the late 14th through 17th centuries. One version of it is today best known as the Queen of England’s personal tartan. The deep navy, forest green, white, gold, and blue combination evokes cold winters spent by a roaring fire. Tuck it into navy wool flannel trousers for a fun festive look, or throw it over a turtleneck sweater for bold layering.
