STYLE TIPS - WHEN TO WEAR FRENCH CUFFS

French Cuffs, also known as "Double Cuffs" fold back on themselves and are attached with either a cuff link or silk knot. This style of cuff is considered a more formal cuff and not appropriate for all situations... sort of.

First a small disclaimer about style advice: Wear whatever you want and never let anyone tell you you can or can't do something. Style "rules" are meant to be broken and doing so in creative and thoughtful ways keeps things interesting. That being said, as a society, we have conventions and following or not following conventions may cause others to form opinions about you. Style advice is intended to help navigate these expectations and make informed decisions.

So, as we were saying, French cuffs are the more formal cuff option. They are always appropriate for you wedding dress shirt, an NFL press conference, a black tie gala, or accepting a Golden Globe award.

But should you wear French Cuffs to work? It depends.
