Canclini Maple Tattersall Lightweight Flannel Fabric

$150

Description

Fabric Description

A luxurious, lightweight flannel made in a classic blue and brown tattersall pattern. It's the sort of flannel shirt that can do double duty as a dressed-down casual, or be worn with a jacket and tie for a cool textured look. The colors are nice and warm--perfect for Thanksgiving dinner or a fall afternoon in Central Park. We suggest designing this fabric with a soft collar, soft cuffs, and either a French French or Soft Placket.

  • It's August and hot as I write this and I'm looking forward to being able to pull out this shirt in the fall. So soft. Colors are perfect for me and I love tattersall (when gingham is everywhere and you want to be just a little different, tattersall is a great option). Canclini has become my favorite flannel.

  • Love this as a nice warm, soft shirt that can be used as a dress up weekend shirt, or a more casual work shirt. Really comfortable and wrinkle resistant.

  • One of my go to shirts

April 2018  ·  darren in Altadena, CA

  • Doesn't feel like flannel - bit flimsy and thin

March 2018  ·  Samuel in Miami, FL

  • Lightweight and soft flannel that is wearable almost year round in a cooler clime - especially good for the shoulder months around winter. Don't regret at all building in a more casual style.

November 2017  ·  Jeffrey in Chicago, IL

  • Amazing flannel from Canclini. Lightweight but still perfect for fall/winter. Color is perfect to dress up or down, and as others have noted, seems like more of a lighter brown than an orange (which it might look like in photos). Would love to see more patterned flannels like this in the future!

July 2016  ·  Dan in WASHINGTON, DC

  • At a distance, the overall shade is slightly browner than I expected. A wonderfully comfortable, soft fabric that feels as though it should be heavier and thicker than it really is.

February 2016  ·  Dan in City Of Spokane Valley, WA

  • Just a fantastic fabric, and \"lightweight flannel\" is a perfect description. It has a soft feel that you\'d expect from a flannel, but the weight of a light-to-midrange twill. Be aware, though, this is not a \"crisp\" fabric; it\'s softer than that. It excels on its own, or under a casual jacket with a textured tie. Some reviewers have written that they were expecting more of an orange hue from the images. Maple is an accurate description of this color scheme - think syrup. It\'s an amber-brown set against a dark navy in the tattersall. It works very well, but if you\'re looking for orange, look elsewhere. Final note: I followed Proper Cloth\'s suggestion and got this in a Soft President Spread collar. It\'s fine, but unbuttoned, this soft fabric tends to sit a bit squarely across the collar bones - more like a cutaway. I don\'t know that there\'s a better option available in a soft-collar, but if ever there was an argument for a Soft English Spread, this is it.

  • Just a beautiful fabric. It is so soft and drapes nicely while still having enough substance not to cling. I have gotten a number of positive comments on the pattern.

February 2016  ·  Emory in Jersey City, NJ

  • Soft and surprisingly light for a a flannel.

February 2016  ·  Sascha in San Francisco, CA

  • This fabric is exactly as advertised. Strongly recommend.

February 2016  ·  Peter in Danbury, CT

  • Great look and feel. Nice and light.

January 2016  ·  Nick in Brooklyn, NY

  • Heavier then expected

January 2016  ·  Tim in PITTSBURGH, PA

  • Whisper thin, comfortable, breathable and smooth. To my eyes, the blue is closer to black. Somewhat prone to fine wrinkling post wash, but that\'s either an easy fix or just a dash of character -- your choice.

January 2016  ·  Ari in Spring Valley, NY

  • In person, the pattern is slightly busy. It\'s still a nice shirt though.

January 2016  ·  Erik in WASHINGTON, DC

  • Quite soft and looks good under a warm sweater.

January 2016  ·  alex in Jersey City, NJ

  • Wrinkles quite a lot after washing, but very easy to iron. Lovely weight.I wore this one out with many, many wearing. Fantastic.

    January 2016  ·  R. J. in Lawrence Township, NJ

  • soft, lightweight flannel for year round

January 2016  ·  Gregory in Woodbury, NY

  • Super soft and very high quality fabric. Great tatterall color combination.

January 2016  ·  Grant in Houston, TX

  • Very soft. Very comfortable. A little thinner than expected.

December 2015  ·  Adam in Arlington, VA

  • Very soft hand - very comfortable. Maybe a bit lighter than you\'d be expecting for a flannel -- even one described as lightweight. Really though, that lightness just makes the fabric more versatile.

December 2015  ·  Josh in Dallas, TX

  • My dad loves this shirt! Super soft flannel but not too thick so it doesn\'t wear uncomfortably hot.

    December 2015  ·  Paul-Andrew in Brooklyn, NY

  • Soft and comfortable feel

November 2015  ·  Brian in Montclair, NJ
